Elkhart County has used voting centers for five years and are touting them as a success that has led to higher turnout. The centers make it more convenient for people to vote without having to fit their time with the ballot into a specific window of time at a place that could be far from where they work.County Commissioner Andy Kostielney says he supports the idea, and if the county moves forward the next step would be to file a voting center plan with the state’s Election Division.
