Dominica’s Raymond Lawrence receives Caribbean recognition

Chief Cultural Officer Raymond LawrenceChief Cultural Officer Raymond Lawrence has been inducted into the Caribbean Hall of Fame for Arts, Sports and Culture.This prestigious Caribbean Hall of Fame award is made every year by the Foundation, in recognition of notable contributions made by those who have achieved excellence in their field of endeavor.The Foundation’s main aim is to recognize the development of arts, sports and culture in the Caribbean and to encourage the natural genius of persons to reach the highest level.The award ceremony took place at the Pegasus Hotel in Jamaica last Friday. Lawrence who was unable to attend the induction ceremony said, “he felt very humbled and honored”, and that the award was not only for him but also for Dominica.“I want to thank God first of all. I didn’t expect it. I felt very surprised because these recognitions are very prestigious. I thank everyone.
