He was the brother of another prominent judge Justice Telford Georges.Justice Georges was called to the bar of England and Wales at the Inner Temple in London in 1965 and served as a legal officer at Friends Provident in London from 1966 until 1971 when he returned to Dominica becoming the Registrar for the Courts. He was appointed as a magistrate in 1974, serving in this capacity until 1976. He eventually became Chief Magistrate of Dominica and in 1976; he became a magistrate in Barbados.In 1981, Justice Georges became the First Registrar of Titles in Barbados and served from 1984 to 1988 as a magistrate in Bermuda. For three months in 1987, he was an Acting Justice on the Supreme Court of Bermuda.He held another position in an international court in 1988 and 1989, as a justice of the Supreme Court of Seychelles. He returned to the region becoming a High Court Judge of the Eastern Caribbean Supreme Court in 1991 by the Judicial and Legal Services Commission of the Caribbean Community to be.Justice Georges also served on the court until 2003, including two years as an Acting Appeals Court Judge. He has also served as a High Court Judge in Tortola, British Virgin Islands from 1994 until 1998. Justice Georges retired from the Court in 2003. He was then appointed to be an Acting High Court Judge in 2008, assigned to reside in and hear cases from Saint Lucia.
