UWF volleyball finishes season ranked No. 22 in AVCA national coaches’ poll

first_img Share Photo by Bill Stockland  LEXINGTON, Ky. – After a runner-up finish at the NCAA South Regional, the West Florida volleyball team finished the 2013 season ranked No. 22 in the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division II national coaches’ poll. The Argonauts finished the year with a record of 28-8 and their sixth straight Gulf South Conference championship.Concordia-St. Paul came in at No. 1 in the poll after winning its seventh straight NCAA Division II national championship. They were followed at No. 2 by Tampa, the team that defeated West Florida in the South Region championship match.The Argos were led in 2013 by AVCA All-Americans Jenny Bellairs (Osage, Iowa/Southeast Missouri State) and Lindsay Homme (Willowbrook, Ill./Hinsdale Central HS).
