Running back Bo Scarbrough was out there practicing with a black jersey and knee brace and running through drills. If Alabama can get him back before the season ends, he could be a big asset down the stretch in November.2. Cornerback Eddie Jackson was just wearing a sleeve on his knee at practice. He played with a brace on it last year. He just can’t leave it alone, huh.4. Jacob Coker was the first quarterback throwing passes in a drill. What that means in the grand scheme of whether at the head of the depth chart at that position is anybody’s guess.5. G.W. Carver graduate Shaun Hamilton was one of the four linebackers lined up to start a drill along with Reggie Ragland, Dillon Lee and Reuben Foster. Hamilton and Foster are vying for a starting spot. Foster has the physical tools, but Hamilton has a great grasp of scheme.6. Bonuses: Defensive line coach Bo Davis was all over sophomore defensive end Da’Shawn Hand during drills. Big things are expected of the defensive end this season. Also true freshman and five-star recruit Kendall Sheffield was working with senior starting cornerback Cyrus Jones on a drill headed up by Saban.Hmmmm.last_img
